A Necklace from Chuck

I’m one of those lucky hundred with this behemoth bookmark. Chuck spent over half a week making this by hand. It’s threaded with bits of his late mother’s jewelry and was gifted to me for participating in his beloved Pixie Project fundraiser. The intricately decorated package had to be partially destroyed to retrieve this gem encrusted rock rope. He says it’s a metaphor that to get to what’s inside you have to destroy what’s on the outside. A nostalgic echo of his quote from Invisible Monsters, ‘the only way to find true happiness is to risk being completely cut open,’ which was the inspiration for my short story Loving A Lie (link in bio, smash like button, purge after reading, etc.). Thanks for this absurd beauty Chuck, but screw you for glitter bombing me.
